Form Resizing |

squiffy Telemix Ltd. | I create a form that is, say, 400px wide, and set its position to top-centre, it's stretch to bottom-right and its max width to 920px. I put some panels/controls/whatever on the form and set their stretch properties to bottom-right.
When I run on a desktop browser the form is not centred, it is offset to the right as it attempts to fill up the available space to its maximum of 920. If I run the form on a browser that's 400px wide (phone for example) it all looks normal. I'm assuming this is due to something like the stretching happening after the form's position is calculated. Can I do anything about that? What I'm trying to achieve is a pseudo-responsive layout for the main container page (and its associated menu bars, logos, etc.). If I create a full size page with all the stretching & positioning mentioned above, then shrinking it loses the info on the edges as it centres the form but doesn't shrink it (of course, that's expected). Any thoughts? |

Of course. What would you *expect* to occur ? << Can I do anything about that? I'll then post how to go about setting up the layout. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

>> Of course. What would you *expect* to occur ? Well, there's expect and want, which often conflict I'll try and be a little more informative in my reply tomorrow, along with my mock up. Out this evening ... |

squiffy Telemix Ltd. | I've used a different method for now (full width page instead of "a4 sheet" style, so the resizing always starts from the left and goes as wide as the available screen. This works just fine.
I will revisit the old way as I'm curious, but just to busy for now ... |
