Cannot run EWB Web Service as a Service - System Error 87 |

Richard Harding Wise Nutrition Coaching | My EWB Web Server service is no longer running. When I start the service through Windows Services Management Console, I receive a message:
Error 87: The parameter is incorrect. The same message appears if I enter the command net start ewbsrvr from the command line. I can run ewbsrvr.exe as an application and I can stop and start other services (such as ElevateDB Server). I cannot find anything useful on the internet. Any suggestions as to what is going on? Thank you. Richard |

Not sure I can help but one missing bit of information: was it working before? That is, has it ever worked? Or is this a new install? And have you rebooted and does that fix it? I presume there is a log, but what does the Windows Event log show? -- Matthew Jones |

Hi Tim, Yes, I tried it lots of times and did not get a response from Windows. HOWEVER, I tried it again after receiving your response and IT IS WORKING. No idea what I did in the meantime to make it work. Another mystery. Thank you. Richard |

I've seen something similar (our own service) that was run with domain account and there were some AD authentication issues. Raul |
