"Al Vas" | Hi,
Had a query from a prospect whether DBISAM Server can be installed on a Linux server. Is this possible? Regards Alex |

"Al Vas" | Hi Eryk
This is possible with Version 3 and 4, or just 4? Also is there anything else to do other than installing a DBISAM server on a Linux box. Does my application have to be modified at all? Sorry for the naivety, maybe there is somewhere I can read up more about this? Thanks too for your response Ralf Alex "Eryk Bottomley" <no@way.com> wrote in message news:B69CD08A-1073-4DF4-A4BF-4529AB65DC98@news.elevatesoft.com... > Al, > >> Had a query from a prospect whether DBISAM Server can be installed on a >> Linux server. Eryk Bottomley | Al,
> This is possible with Version 3 and 4, or just 4? It was possible with V3.x also but, since it is a different product and V3.x is no longer sold, you'd have to ask Tim about whether V3.x for Kylix is still shipping. > Also is there anything > else to do other than installing a DBISAM server on a Linux box. Nothing of much significance. See the following link: http://www.elevatesoft.com/dbisam4k3_cross_platform_considerations.htm > Does my > application have to be modified at all? No - other than potential locale issues, as I mentioned before. Eryk |
