Sad to not see some others missing that one (Delphi old-timer) would expect
to participate.

I guess since there is no more Delphi Informant, we'll have no way of
knowing the best Delphi component libraries and IDE tools.

   That's unfortunate. It was a great mag. I guess the advertising was
drying up as a result of fewer 3rd party tool makers. I can remember
Delphi Informant magazine was incredibly thin in content and had very
few ads before it bit the dust, a shadow of its former self. I guess the
attempt by Borland to sell Delphi was a warning signal to developers and
they may have jumped ship to something else and tool makers have gone
with them. Delphi's been around for just 10 years. Will it still be here
in another 10?

I don't think that's the reason for the decline in adverts. The internet
answers most things for you, and the Delphi market was mature so people
know where to go for things. There are plenty of people still using
Delphi. As for 10 years, who knows, but I know I'll be using Delphi for at
least another few.

The funny thing is, 10 years from now, clients will still be running
their dbisam 3/4 applications on XP totally oblivious to the new and
improved OS (Windows XX) or languages like Web 10.0!
