Uncertified Publisher on Vista |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | I just tried running one of my homebrew apps on the PC I bought to digitise my records and I get an annoying popup. On XP there was a checkbox to say "its ok you don't need to ask me every time" but not on Vista. Anyone tell me how to get Vista to stop asking me?

Lance Rasmussen Jazzie Software Team Elevate | Normally you need to sign the application.
Possibly compiling in a manifest may help too. You may want to look at Komodo or some inexpensive signing cert. Do be aware most cheap ones are chaining certs that aren't the "quality", per say of a Geotrust or Verisign dev cert. Adding a signature may be fine if its a commercial app that I'm making money from but in this case its a homebrew intended just to rename the mp3 files with the track name and there is no way I justify spending money on it. Roy Lambert |
