Vista / modem dialing |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | My HP notebook screen has gone weird (6cm black stripe on the left hand side) and I've had to go to a Vista notebook as a temporary measure (the one I've bought to digitise my music).
My app will no longer dial through the modem (I'm ignoring the other annoyances just now). Is there anyone out there with a Vista PC, who is willing to plug their phone and computer into the phone socket together and run a small app for me just to see if its this PC or Vista? It will try and dial my number (so won't connect outside of the UK) but if you get the dialing noises it should be OK - I don't. The app will write one entry into HKCU\Techniques holding the dialer parameters Roy Lambert |

I think I remember someone from http://www.magsys.co.uk/dunman/ was saying
how annoying it was that Vista broke the dial up stuff. I suspect it will be Vista. I'd offer to help, but I've forgotten what "dial up" means. 8-) /Matthew Jones/ | |

Its not actually dial up. I have my phone and the computer plugged into a double socket. I double click a phone number in my app and it dials for me. Having to use my fingers again is VERY painful Roy Lambert |
