Tim,

By marketing I did not mean advertising for money. The way you define your product and
it's features is for the targeted segments of the the database engine market. The
desription of EDB can be found in several places on the internet, that is the way you are
"marketing" it.

I am in no position to properly understand half the things you are weighing when making
decisions. It is just my opinion, which may be wright or wrong. If you  think it has no
use for you, please just ignore it.  I have realised that bombing you with feature
request, and avoidable support requests is not helping. Your time as too valuable, to
spend on this discussion again. Smile And mine too. :D

I can see, there is no way of stopping you from making your case on the behalf of your
decision, so I will read your answer if there will be one, but will drop this subject
after that. Smile)

Best regards,
Leslie

We market both DBISAM and ElevateDB as databases *for developers*.  We also
price the products accordingly.  The major appeal for developers, especially
those with high distribution volumes of their software product, is ease of
installation and configuration along with royalty-free pricing.  Those are
the two major factors in most purchase decisions.  The feature set is
important also, but since ElevateDB does do just about everything that most
database engines do, it is usually not the *primary* consideration.
