I upgraded my Windows Server 2003 to 2008 a year or so ago and it runs like a champ. Vista-like UI, but without the useless Aero graphics stuff. Very solid, runs faster on the same hardware than 2003 did. Some people are using Win 2008 as a workstation ("Vista done right"). There's even a web article about it somewhere. I don't have a vm on it yet. It's a local PDC, running (amoung other things) an EDB server over the internet for a client. -- David Cornelius CorneliusConcepts.com |
