I found a slew of these in my temp folder

 <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <UI>
 <String Id="L_FeedbackLink_TEXT">Send feedback to Microsoft</String>
 <String Id="L_MessageLink_TEXT">Microsoft Product Support Knowledge Base Link</String>
 <String Id="L_MailToLink_TEXT">Send feedback to Microsoft</String>
 <String Id="L_SeeAlso_TEXT">See Also</String>
 <String Id="L_Requirements_TEXT">Requirements</String>
 <String Id="L_QuickInfo_TEXT">QuickInfo</String>
 <String Id="L_FilterTip_TEXT">Language Filter</String>
 <String Id="L_Language_TEXT">Language</String>
 <String Id="L_ShowAll_TEXT">Show All</String>
 <String Id="L_Animation_Text">Click to animate</String>
 <String Id="L_ExpandAll_TEXT">Expand All</String>
 <String Id="L_CollapseAll_TEXT">Collapse All</String>
 <String Id="L_ExColl_TEXT">Click to Expand or Collapse</String>
 <String Id="L_Keyword_TEXT">Keyword =</String>
 <String Id="L_IndexMoniker_TEXT">IndexMoniker =</String>
 <String Id="L_URL_TEXT">Source URL =</String>
 </UI>

Any bright spark out there know where they're coming from - I'm instantly suspicious of anything saying"Send feedback to Microsoft"

Don't see anything like this in any of my temp folders in all drives. Do you
run IE or Outlook? The latter often crashes with a message like "We must
close" and a "Send error to MS" button.

Maybe it's the Evil Ballmer virus.

That could be it - I opened WinMail (I don't use it normally) just to remind myself of the default port settings.

Thanks

In that case I'm even happier that I've moved to XYplorer.

You can run but you can't hide Smile

Delphi/RAD Studio help system  is based on MSDN/Microsoft Document Explorer
so most likely that is causing the files you're seeing (or if you have VS
installed) :  D2007 is clean for me though (no files when i hit help).
