|Mon, Jun 8 2009 5:06 PM||Permanent Link|
My own VPS and my cabinet got nuked.
I only have a VPS server there from VASERVE
to test my web apps, but I'am in the middle of
setting up a hosting service and now its all wiped.
Anyone else hit.

Wow! Talk about your worst nightmare! Even though I host in-house I still
backup each evening to external devices as well as copy all live data to my
development server each day. You can't be too paranoid these days.
Good luck. Hope they manage to restore your stuff. They should also have
been backing up.

No backup on cheap vps its all self manage except for the physical
things like put more ram in. Remote reboot start stop services run
socket servers all the good stuff for testing and running a DBIsam
The cabinet I have there is another issue as yet I havent started
selling space and all the servers have hot swap drives so they
can be wiped and re-loaded but it will take days.
I have just heard I can remove my cabinet and have a full refund.
I think I will take it and put it on ebay ;-(
