Thread Questions to Tim: Morfik? Fail Safe? Dbexpress driver?
Thu, Aug 13 2009 5:05 AMPermanent Link

Tim
Tim,

1. Have you contacted they guys at www.morfik.com and offered them a "free-for-lifetime" supply of elevatedb software? Would'nt it be nice if they
made an option to generate their standalone server with an built-in elevatedb server that Delphi apps could also use? Wouldnt a cross-marketing
effort benefit both companies? Just an idea...

2. When will the elevatedb be fail safe like nexusdb? (http://www.nexusdb.com/support/index.php?q=node/513)

3. Will you provide a dbexpress driver ?

Thanks

We've talked to them about this, but they seem to be happy with using
Firebird as the default database engine.  Feel free to push them in our
direction, though. Smiley

The enterprise server version of ElevateDB will be fail-safe.  No projected
release dates, yet, though.

At some point, yes.  For now you can use some of the DBExpress->ODBC bridge
drivers available along with the EDB ODBC Driver:
