Hi Tim when a new Delphi version comes  out
do you have some kind of automated tool to
update the packages ?

I just spent the night fixing packages from D4
and higher for D2007 as my D7 didnt like my
new Windows 7 Pro box.
I feel so sorry for u component guys.

Not really - we only distribute the raw .dpk files, and their format hasn't
changed since D2/D3 or whenever the package support as added to Delphi.

Yeah, but we don't have to deal with end users, so it all evens out. Wink

Like the one who has a dBase2 app written 1987'ish cant make it work
anymore.  I smelt a sale called in and it was his old PCDos box that had
given up.  His data was backed up to 5.25 floppys.
He now has 2 XPpro boxes running Win DBIsam  version 74 years old still
running a courier biz.

Wow, his return on that investment must have been in positive territory
about 20 years ago. Smiley
