Hi,

Yes, I know you are busy, but it would be really nice to have support in DBISAM for
the new DevExpress grid Server mode. Or is it the other way around. Anyway, this
would be big for me, so I hope that you can work with DevExpress to make this
happen.

I know it's only DBISam - but it would be great. Smile

Ugh, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I really don't have the time
to keep up with another product-specific component for UI
controls/reporting.  If DevExpress wants to do one for DBISAM or ElevateDB,
that's certainly fine with me.  I'm kind of surprised that they designed it
like they did - forcing customers to download/install special packages for
working with different databases can be very problematic due to versioning
issues, etc.

I hope that you can understand the limited resources that I'm dealing with
here.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

Sure, that's fine. I hope that they've designed it in a sensible way, perhaps with
template code. Then a customer or they can do the work. But if DevExpress were to
come and ask for a licence to do the work, please let them have one! 8-)
