Citrix and DBISAM |

"Bobby Gallagher" | Hi
I have an application running on Citrix and get exception errors and random times when users are using the system. These errors can not be identified to a specific task within the program and so cannot be repeated manually The application and data reside on a Citrix Metaframe and users are located in a remote office accessing the metaframe over a 256Kilostream line. Has anyone any experience like this - is it possible that the line speed is causing a 'data drop' or something like that.? Any ideas would be appriciated Regards Bobby |

tomu | Just a guess, but what is the PrivateDir set to on the session component? Each
Citrix user may need this set to a unique location. |

"Scott Martin" | We have several apps running on a Citrix server and there do not seem to be any problems.
We had to make consirations for Registry settings and I would check the PrivateDir options as mentioned. Are you using a C/S setup and not related to Citrix? Do you have the same problem if not in Citrix? Perhaps you need to check the RemotePing/RemoteTimeout or DB.KeepConnection? Details on the error messages would be helpful. Regards, Scott. "Bobby Gallagher" | Thanks for the replies everyone
I had left the PrivateDir empty on the basis that with Citrix I assume that it was like running the app on a single PC - I will try to set this to a folder that the user has access to. The errors are not DBISAM errors - but windows exception errors - I will try to get a sample and post this The problem does not manifest itself outside Citrix Regards Bobby "Scott Martin" <scottmartin@pdq.net> wrote in message news:B81F3CF5-CD41-4A8A-A235-423152620141@news.elevatesoft.com... > We have several apps running on a Citrix server and there do not seem to > be any problems. > > We had to make consirations for Registry settings and I would check the > PrivateDir > options as mentioned. > > Are you using a C/S setup and not related to Citrix? > Do you have the same problem if not in Citrix? > > Perhaps you need to check the RemotePing/RemoteTimeout or > DB.KeepConnection? > > Details on the error messages would be helpful. > > Regards, > Scott. > > "Bobby Gallagher" <bobgal@computech.ie> wrote in message > news:EAFCC36C-CCAA-4BB3-BCAB-67D0C1D64CBD@news.elevatesoft.com... >> Hi >> >> I have an application running on Citrix and get exception errors and >> random times when users are using the system.
