i wish to add a list of keywords to records for searching purposes.

would a comma seperated list of words in a memo field do ?

should the field be indexed ?

what do you think.

As long as you're using a version that supports full text indexing then a memo field holding a list of space comma or #13#10 separated words will do fine. You can use a simple string field if it will hold all the words needed.

Just turn on full text indexing for the appropriate fields and you've got FAST searching via TEXTSEARCH
