Speed Issues on Single Computer. |

Steve Gill | A client has my DBISAM based application installed on a file server, and
users are running it (in Local mode) via shortcuts on their desktops. One user out of 20 is experiencing slow response times. No AV, anti-spyware or firewalls installed on this PC. I have asked the client to check for: * Faulty or slow network card or network cable. * Low available memory. * Insufficient disk space for swap file. * Fragmented hard drive. * Overloaded file server. * Other software using up network bandwidth. All PCs are fairly new. Any ideas? DBISAM 4.25 Build 1. Regards, SteveG |

Have them run the task manager and keep it in the task bar to check this. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
