Thread How to upgrade the free FastReport 4 DBISAM V4 Components to DBISAM 4.26
Fri, Nov 28 2008 8:06 AMPermanent Link

TorB.
Hi!
I have downloaded this component from Steve Forbes homepage, but it is made for DBISAM 4.25.
I have tried to upgrade this to 4.26 without success.
Help somewhere?
Kind regards
TorB.

Hi Tor,

There shouldn't be any direct references to DBISAM versions in any of the
package files (these will be added by the compiler when installing). You
should be able to compile and directly install the components with DBISAM
V4.26 without any problems.

What error are you seeing?

Thank you for your answer.
I re-installed my pc and Delphi 2007.
No problems any more Smile
Your component also installed fine.
Kind regards

Could you please explain what the DBIsam FastReport component does. I found
the download file but have no idea what it can do for me.

Thank you,

Craig

Hi Craig,

The components allow you users to create and manipulate datasets and queries
*inside* your end-user reports. If you do not have end-user report creation
then you do not need the components.
