"Iztok Lajovic" | Hi,
I found a serious speed problem which I noticed today after making some inventory calculations after a long time. I repeated the comparion of calculations three times to be sure that I see the things in right view. In the program there were no code alterations and I made new compile with DBISAM v 4.28 b3 only. Results are: DBISAM v 4.27 b5: 100% in 1 min 10 sec DBISAM v 4.28 b3: 48% in 30 min !!!!!!!!! There are 3 files involved in calculation: matd (document file) has memo field that is not touched in this calculation matp (document's material file) has no memo field stru (material stock file with one record for each material per stock) has memo field but all memo fields are empty As mentioned: the program is the same, files are the same, the difference is in DBISAM version only. What to do? Iztok Lajovic KreS, Kreativni sistemi, d.o.o. |

<< speed problem is solved with new DBISAM 4.28 b4 !!! >> I think it might have been something else than DBISAM then. The only changes for B4 related to updating of BLOB fields (which I don't think you were doing) and the verify/repair. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
