Robert Rowlands | Hi.
Do I have to keep manually re-indexing the tables or should the server do that? When I add new records they do not appear in a search when they clearly should. If I re-index using DBSYS they then appear. Thanks. |

I can support Fernando on this. I used full text indexing a lot with DBISAM. My mail and news client has yet to be converted to ElevateDB and is still using it. If re-indexing in DBSys works then you're doing something wrong in your app. My first suspicion would be some sort of custom function stripping unwanted stuff (eg tags from html) since that wouldn't be there in DBSys but would in your app. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |
