Rita Tipton | In D2007 you can display animated gif's if you
set the property to true in the gif lib. So why cant I show a gif in DBIsam graphics or will that be due next week Rita |

Rita Tipton | > > Show in what? Are you in the right news groups? > Errrmm yes DBISam General question. Hello Roy you can store and view BMP's in a graphics field. I just wondered why I cant store other graphic files in DBISam tables. I set animated gif to true in the GIFImg file that lets me play animated gifs in a win app using D2007 I thought the line below was enough info guess not. >>So why cant I show a gif in DBIsam graphics.. More a ? for Santa than his little helper sorry if you are confused old chap. Rita |

I was confused because DBISAM doesn't display anything at all, it just stores stuff. As such since an animated gif is essentially just a number of gifs stuck together they can be stored in a DBISAM database. Playing them is down to whatever visual control you use. So, how are you trying to store the anigifs into DBISAm and how are you trying to play them - what control are you using? Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |
