Delphi XE2 and 64 bit install |

Scott Rowat | Hello,
I have been working on upgrading to Delphi XE2 on my Win7 machine and was installing DBISAM version 431 build 3 64 bit version and when I go into delphi I don't get the components. If I install the 32 bit version I do get the components in delphi. Do I need to install both versions installed to support 32 and 64 bit? Should I be getting the components when installing the 64 bit version? What am I missing? Thanks |

Raul Team Elevate | Yes - You need both versions installed assuming you want to target 64bit apps.
Delphi IDE itself is 32bit app so it can only show 32bit design time components 32bit component are design time + runtime. 64bit components are run-time only and get compiled in when you have a 64bit app Raul << Do I need to install both versions installed to support 32 and 64 bit?
