If I were to use Windows to copy a table's .dat and .idx without going through DBSYS, is it possible that that may cause problems/corruptions to the source table when the table is being used by other users ? TiA and Best, Faichung |

If you do it at the same time as other people are using the table its almost certain to cause a problem. If no one else is using the table then its probably ok. By no one else using it I mean that they shouldn't even have the table open. I think the same is true even if you go through DBSys, but I'd need to look at the source code to see what Copy Table actually does. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |
