Brunette PowerPos | We have a client that needs to extract data and update data with access 2010 from our application.
In Access when you use two DBISAM tables linked via ODBC you get the above error. We noticed that this error only occurs in Windows7 32bit. When we test it from my XP laptop there is no problem. We have specified the temporary folder to be in out applications folder that is trusted. We have also noted that linking via ODBC to a dbisam table takes much longer to retrieve data than from XP. Advise how to solve this please. |

We have specified the temporary folder to be in out applications folder that is trusted. >> Only two things can cause this: 1) Incorrect private directory (temporary files directory) setting in the ODBC DSN - either the directory doesn't exist or the user doesn't have the proper rights to read/write to the directory. 2) Anti-virus software is interfering with the proper creation of temporary tables. What version of DBISAM are you using ? << We have also noted that linking via ODBC to a dbisam table takes much longer to retrieve data than from XP. >> Are you retrieving local data, data over a network (file-sharing), or via C/S connections to the DBISAM Database Server ?
