Limits in Comments within SQL Scripts |

adam | Just a quick question. In longer SQL scripts with multiple parts separated by ";" I seem
to be getting occasional problems with comments, where the section of the SQL after the coment doesn't always run, if the comment contain certain characters such as " or / For instance (this is just rough script to show the effect ... not real): -- ALTER TABLE Customer ADD COLUMN Current Boolean ; /* DON'T USE THIS PART: UPDATE "C:\DB\Customer.dat" SET Current = false WHERE DateCreated < Current_Date -365 ; */ SELECT * FROM Customer WHERE Current = true ; -- The above seems to give me error "missing double quote after " in source columns " ... I use DBISAM V3.30 Adam |
