Hi Tim,
I have VistaDb trial (.net native DB) on my PC and it also have "native"
partial fetching mode. I think this is the best approach for real-life SQL
Db that contain tables with million of records....
(Only for information...)
Good Job, Tim.

Do you mean via a property instead of SQL ?

Hi Tim,

I have tried  VistaDB 3.0 build in .NET.
It seems (i have only tried two demo exe) that it works ALWAYS with fetching
partial mode or, in demos, they use a similar approach; You known that they
have rewritten in .net their product (I don't known speed or performances
(.net is not Speedy Gonzales) ), but their demos works well and result seems
good.
I have tried in the demo with a customer table of 90000 records and an order
table on 250000 records.

(Fibplus seem to be more performant that actual Vista release; Fibplus cache
always so, if I go to last record, it don't scan all records, but show
immediately only necessary records; If I go to the first record, it have
cached last records so they are are available quickly; Vista seems that
always reload necessary records, but I have used the demo only for few
minutes...)

I think that, in partial fetching, a "first-last" request in the
result...and the traditional way to fetching is obtained, true?  Smile

Do you considered insert partial fetching in EDB? Smile
Good Job, Tim,

Stefano Monterisi

Are we talking about the background fetching again ?  If so, then we've
hashed this out already, and I know what you want, so we don't need to go
over it again.

Thanks,
