Once you have the editor totally under control can we have a script debugger? Is it even theoretically possible?

On a sightly more serious note it would be helpful if there was a button to check a script  as far as possible without executing it and altering the database. Or do 3rd party (free of course) tools already exist to do this?

Sure.  In fact, I've had it on the list for months now and I've just been
waiting on things to quiet down a bit before I tackle it.  It's pretty
necessary, especially with really complex scripts that are executing dynamic
SQL that is built in the script, like what you're doing.  You need to be
able to see the value of the SQL before it is executed.
