DBISam Database System Utility V4

Hi Tim,
Could you please consider increasing the width of all controls that display
the DB path. The width looks like it was designed for use Pre Windows XP
days when databases typically would be placed with the executable or 2-3
folders below the root drive eg C:\DeveloperName\DatabaseName\TableName

With XP, Vista & Win 7 however, the db would now typically be deployed in :

C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\DeveloperName\ProgramName\DatabaseName\TableName
C:\Users\Public\Documents\DeveloperName\ProgramName\Data\DatabaseName\TableName

The width of all controls in the Database Sys Utility fall way short of
displaying the full path and its quite frustrating not knowing exacly which
database were working on or trying to select.

The affected forms are  :
- Table Form : "Open Databases" Combo box at the top right and the "Current
Database" at the status bar bottom right corner
- SQL Form : Same as above
- Select Table To Open Form : (Menu option File | Open)
- Select Database To Query Form (Menu option File | New SQL Query)

Could you pls. try to find a way to accomodate the full path. Or if theres
really not enough room, maybe show a pop up hint of the full path when we
move the mouse over. Thanks Tim.

Sure.  I'm still considering moving DBISAM to using a more modern interface
for the utilities, but I'll work this in if I don't go ahead with that.'

Hi Tim,
<<but I'll work this in if I don't go ahead with that.'>>
Thats great, look forward to this build.

<<I'm still considering moving DBISAM to using a more modern interface >>
Other than the width of all controls displaying the DB Path, the current
interface still works well for me. A new facelift for me is just good to
have but not really that pressing if you have other priorities Smile.

Yeah, it's more just the issue of "it's looking really old". Wink
