You can't. There was discussion around this and the result was people preferred speed to getting the button "right" on the scroll bar. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

<< please advice me, how I can do accurate positioning of scrollbar in DBGrid with ElevateDB. >> You can't do so with ElevateDB - it doesn't support logical row numbers. You can see more on this here: http://www.elevatesoft.com/newsgrp?action=openmsg&group=16&msg=66&page=1#msg66 -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

> But my customers ask it, I want find any solution. Maybe any other TDBGrid ... I am using Quantum Grid by Developer Express. It can load all records (if the are not too many) and that works fine. Uli |

Charalampos Michael | Dear Tim,
> You can't do so with ElevateDB - it doesn't support logical row numbers. > You can see more on this here: Could you possible reconsider this, more and more people are realizing that they needed it when they move to EDB. You can add it as optional and disabled by default. -- Charalampos Michael - [Creation Power] - http://www.creationpower.gr |

Charalampos Michael | Dear Uli,
> I am using Quantum Grid by Developer Express. It can load all records > (if the are not too many) and that works fine. That's the problem ... When it comes to a some thousand records the delay of loading all the records is big! -- Charalampos Michael - [Creation Power] - http://www.creationpower.gr |

The only grids that MIGHT do it are those that load the entire dataset into their local memory - and then you have other problems - like the time it takes to load, syncing back to the table Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

Uli Becker | Michael,
> That's the problem ... When it comes to a some thousand records the > delay of loading all the records is big! That's right, but: who needs thousands of records in a grid? Some time ago I used to present *ALL* data to my clients. Meanwhile I let them type to extract the records they really need - it works. Uli |
