Running multiple servers on 1 machine |

Kick ENK Software | Hi,
Is it possible to run multiple server instances on 1 machine (on different ports of course). We have some customers that have more than one installation of our software on 1 server. All instances of edbsrv that start now look for the same Session in the same ini file. Could either the ini file or the session within the ini file that is used be dynamically assigned (by a startup param or servicename dependant)? |

You can also assign a different server name and description (how the server identifies itself to client apps) in the .ini file: http://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=viewtopic&id=edb2sql&topic=Starting_Configuring_Server (Server Name and Server Description in the Configuration Reference) -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Jeff Dunlop | How about when running as a service? I want 2.03Bx on one port and 2.04By on another.

David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts | Running each one as an application before installing it as a service
allows you to configure the port. I have both Unicode and ANSI versions running side-by-side on the same server on different ports. Works well. -- David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts On 8/17/2010 2:57 PM, Jeff Dunlop wrote: > How about when running as a service? I want 2.03Bx on one port and 2.04By on another. > |

Jeff Dunlop | I must be missing something blindingly simple.
ren edbsrvr.exe edbsrvr204.exe edbsrvr204 -install "The name is already in use..." |
