Wow - has it really been that long?

I'm guessing English isn't your first language because to me

<<Ten years ago, ElevateDB was dropped>>

means it was discontinued. I was immediately thinking - someone should have told Tim so he can stop development <VBG>

It's a crazy world. Where I live dropped means discontinued as you said but in software terms it can also mean a new version was released.  Not confusing at all. Smile

I can't believe it's been 10 years though.  Time goes by so fast.

English is my first language...dropped has come to mean "released" or "made available"...dropped on the market.

But it's usually used in reference to the music.  As in, "Adele just dropped a new album."

I just used it here for fun.

Ahhh millennium speak. Should have known Smiley

I'm an antique and whilst I realise and accept that languages change over time, especially English, this one totally baffles me.

Yeah, I'm not surprised. With the amount of drugs and booze "stars" ingest they're probably dropping things all over, and breaking lots of them.

>I just used it here for fun.

Sorry I'm to old to understand the joke Smiley

I'll have you know that I've passed old and reached vintage - like good wine!
