Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | We are pleased to announce the availability of ElevateDB 2.0. The new
ElevateDB 2.0 includes complete support for both uni-directional and bi-directional replication with your choice of push or pull synchronization options. The replication can also be used for hot backup of ElevateDB Servers and the ultimate in redundancy and safety that will drastically reduce downtime in the case of a server failure. Please review the release notes provided with the download setup program or the version history on this web site for more information on the new features and changes in ElevateDB 2.0. If you already pre-ordered ElevateDB 2.0, then you can proceed to the Customers area and download it right away: http://www.elevatesoft.com/customer?action=login If you have not ordered ElevateDB 2.0, then the upgrade price for existing customers is $99 for all existing EDB-DAC-STD, EDB-DAC-STD-SRC, EDB-VCL-STD, and EDB-VCL-STD-SRC customers, and $159 for all existing EDB-DAC-CS, EDB-DAC-CS-SRC, EDB-VCL-CS, and EDB-VCL-CS-SRC customers. NOTE Previously the price for the upgrade for all CS and CS-SRC products was incorrectly stated as $129. That was the pre-order price only, and we apologize for the mistake. Downloaded, component update hell suffered, even more trying to pin the pdf manuals to the start menu - Vista will ONLY do this if you drag and drop onto the start menu button from within Explorer for a pdf, the Pin option isn't there in the right click menu. Now all I have left to do tonight before I wander off in search of alcohol is ask Is there a rough timescale now for null = emptystring? Roy Lambert |

Rony Gellaerts | Hi Tim,
Thanks for this new release of ElevateDB V2.0. The 'STORE' functionality will become a nice feature for me in the future. I know that you gonna release the other features for V2.0 in the comming weeks, but one feature i realy are waiting for is the 'RENAME' column possibility for an existing table and the 'borrow' structure. Can you possibly put this feature high on your list ? Regards, Rony Gellaerts |

<< Thanks for this new release of ElevateDB V2.0. The 'STORE' functionality will become a nice feature for me in the future. >> Yeah, I'm finding all kinds of uses for the stores every time I play around with them. They can be used to replicate all sorts of data. One of the more interesting features is what happens when you have a remote store that points to another remote store.... << I know that you gonna release the other features for V2.0 in the comming weeks, but one feature i realy are waiting for is the 'RENAME' column possibility for an existing table and the 'borrow' structure. Can you possibly put this feature high on your list ? >> I'll be putting up a post shortly detailing what I'll be working on next. I don't think that much of what is left for 2.0 will take much longer than another month, at any rate. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
