Tim,

I think that when updating, the preferred methodology had been to do an
uninstall then install, which is fine and keeps the code pretty clean
and Delphi "happier".

Could you add some minor functionality in the installer to do a
previous installation check and then ask to uninstall first?  Then if
yes, do the uninstall before install?

Just saves steps in going to Control Panel to run the uninstallers and
makes life a tiny bit easier.

Sure thing.  It would make my life a little easier also, since I'm
constantly installing/uninstalling when testing.

Awesome...

It would even be nice to remember the path too, since I don't install
the comps itself under Program Files and install them all under a
special components folder.

Maybe later work on not trying to tax the maximum Windows path for
folders <grin>.  They do make sense and are organized, especially for
multi-IDE installs.

It does, if you don't uninstall first.
