Ian Branch | Hi Team,
When setting a column as Generated, what is the difference between 'Always' & 'By Default Only'? Pros & Cons of each mode? Regards, Ian |

ALWAYS - the value is set by the engine and is not changeable BY DEFAULT - the engine will set it if it isn't already set and it can be edited I think that basically gives you the pros & cons as well. Memory says that converting tables will result in BY DEFAULT otherwise it would screw up foreign keys Roy |
