"Cannot Connect a Remote Session with the Server Engine". |

Steve Gill | Ever since updating to 2.26 Build 2 I have encountered the above error message when running a client application in the RAD Studio IDE.
Some investigation revealed that the cause is the TEDBEngine component's EngineType property. The property changes from etClient to etServer whenever the project is loaded. I can save the project with the property set to etClient but when it's loaded again it is set to etServer. For me this happens consistently. Has anyone else experienced this? = Steve |

Steve Gill | I suspect it may be an XE7 bug causing this. RAD Studio threw an out of resources exception (like it does a few times a day, every day) requiring me to restart RAD Studio yet again. Now the problem doesn't occur at all.
XE7 is pretty reliable but it does still have a few bugs (like the TImageList bug which drives me nuts). = Steve |

Ah yes, the automatic break reminder (aka RAD Studio crash) is a helpful feature. Sometimes though it nearly triggers my smash-the-computer-with-a-hammer feature. = Steve |

I, and my computer, were extremely fortunate in that I had just finished a cup of coffee BEFORE arriving at you post. Roy Lambert |
