Karlheinz Jansen | Tim,
<< Are you recompiling the EDB source code ? >> No, I have 2.20 installed and work with the BPL files. But, there was an old edbrun.dcp file from version 2.19 lurking around in the search path but no 2.19 BPL's. The generated BPL for the EDB Components was generated with the 2.20 BPL's but has the wrong 2.19 library links (coming from the 2.19 dcp file) inside. Therefore the build worked with the 2.20 bpl, but not the install of the components because at this time Delphi "looks into" the BPL and is searching for the 2.19 library links. Only the BPL files have the library suffix not the DCP files. So, if I run in this problem once more in the future I will search for the DCP files and check the information's in these files for a lib version hint. Karlheinz |
