I have not used it but AFAIK it's a 32bit command line app so you just run it (or use the usual linux ways of starting in the background - i.e. & after it or using hup). It's 32bit currently so you need to also make sure you have 32buit support libraries installed (some general steps Tim once linked to are here http://www.maketecheasier.com/run-32-bit-apps-in-64-bit-linux/). I have a 32bit Ubuntu VM, may try this but without documentation it goes on the back burner. |

Actually there appears to be some topics on configuring and starting it here (look for linux references): http://www.elevatesoft.com/manual?action=viewtopic&id=edb2sql&topic=starting_configuring_server Since it's a command line server there is just a config ini file, executable and that's it. It works like a charm - i was able to start the edbsrvr and connect with edbmanager from windows host and create DB, table and populate it. Obviously minimalistic test of functionality only but looking promising. Raul |

Try creating a Store and then backup a table. On Ubuntu 12.04 I get this behavior: - backup not visible until I close and re-open the store - opening the store causes a '0 0 not valid Timestamp error' - an attempt to open the file gives the same error. |
