Iztok Lajovic (1) | Hi
I am working on my test DB and I am having problems right from the start. When I choose my created database in DB manager I get an error "field 'Attributes' not found". I deleted it and created it many times but it's the same what ever I do. Before that (in older version of DB manager) I got a message "field 'CatalogVersion' not found" which implies there are some similar mistakes I've been doing so far. Thank you |

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | Could you be mixing unicode and non-unicode versions or newer and older versions of EDBManager?

Roy Lambert NLH Associates Team Elevate | With the information so far I have no idea what's happening. Can you post the catalog and configuration files to the binaries and let us know which version of ElevateDB you're using.

So if you create a database using 2.03 and then attempt to access it with 2.04 or 2.05, it will show this message. You can also see this when attempting to connect to a 2.03 server engine with 2.04 or 2.05. -- --------------------------------------- Terry Swiers Millennium Software, Inc. http://www.1000years.com http://www.atrex.com --------------------------------------- |

As you can see from my post that was my thought. However, since he mentions the DB manager it should be automatically upgraded. Roy Lambert [Team Elevate] |

Terry Swiers | Roy,

In that scenario, the BDE version accessing the data is still 2.03 and won't upgrade the tables. -- --------------------------------------- Terry Swiers Millennium Software, Inc. http://www.1000years.com http://www.atrex.com --------------------------------------- |

Fernando Dias Team Elevate | Terry,
But Iztok said he upgraded both the server and EDB manager, so... Terry Swiers | Fernando,
> But Iztok said he upgraded both the server and EDB manager, so... He indicated that he reinstalled the server, but not specifically that he upgraded the server engine. So at this point I would still put my money on it being a 2.03 or older server engine being accessed with 2.04 or 2.05. -- --------------------------------------- Terry Swiers Millennium Software, Inc. http://www.1000years.com http://www.atrex.com --------------------------------------- |
