I moved off into using Terry's great component so I don't remember what changes came along.

Just checking and finding the articles (19/07/2008 Licenced Sessions) the issue I had was that session and logon to the database were one and the same so a background thread would consume one or more sessions. You then added the ability for the programmer to exclude certain sessions from the count (ExcludeFromLicensedSessions property) but it wasn't effective with fileserver (or that's what my memory says and I can't find the relevant articles).

Can you clarify it again please.

The exclusions and the licensed sessions all work fine for local/fileserver
sessions also.
