EDB Manager Crashes! (2.03b22) |

David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts | I just installed EDB 2.03b22 tonight and removed EDB 2.3b21. The Manager
now crashes whenever I try to open a data grid of any kind: table, logged messages, views... I inadvertently deleted (instead of moved) the previous version's install, so now I'm stuck. My custom application that accesses the EDB database seems to work, it's just the Manager that doesn't. But I need it badly, so I might try compiling it (haven't tried that before). FWIW, I'm using Delphi 2009 Unicode on Windows 7 64-bit. -- David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts |

Terry Swiers | David,

A workaround is to use SQL queries to view the data rather than just opening the tables. Also, the issue is not present in 2.04, so if you are planning on updating to that at any time the issue will go away at that point. -- --------------------------------------- Terry Swiers Millennium Software, Inc. http://www.1000years.com http://www.atrex.com Now shipping Atrex 13. David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts | Terry,
> A workaround is to use SQL queries to view the data rather than just > opening the tables. That actually worked, which surprised me. I had tried opening three different types of objects, but had not typed in direct SQL. That is a good work-around, I should've thought of that. > Also, the issue is not present in 2.04, so if you are planning on updating > to that at any time the issue will go away at that point. That's good to know. I'm going to wait for a little while before putting it into production. Thanks! David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts |

For now, you can use the 2.03 B21 manager with no problems. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
