Quickest/Easiest way to compare two database structures? |

Ian Branch | Hi Team,
I need to compare two databases to make sure their structures, Tables, Fields, Indexes, Constraints, etc, are the same, or not. Is there a simple way to do this within EDB? Regards & TIA, Ian |

Whilst I've never used it for this purpose I think the reverse engineer menu option in EDBManager will do what you want if you select the upgrade option. You'll need to set the target database in upgrade options. I think both databases will need to be on the same session for this to work. Because I've never used it I don't know what level it compare to - it may be the same as the option for creating a table and only go to table/constraint level. Roy Lambert |
