Mario Enríquez Open Consult | Hello folks,
Just wanted to share with you what happen at work today. We got a call from a customer (had a couple of years of not hearing from him), requesting our help to move our application (based on EDB 2.12) to a new server, since he feels the old server is about to fail (intermittent blue screen of death, etc). He told me that they're happy with the application and use it everyday and performance is good and if it wasn't for the trouble with the server (hardware?) it won't had bother to call us. During the backup/setup/restore procedure on the new server, we notice that his database is 9GB after fresh restore.. They have about 5~7 concurrent users plus another 10 hitting the database through a web app. No problem, and good performance, no support or tuning on our part what so ever. I don't know about you guys, but this our largest EDB database by far and we're please the app is working so reliable/stable for our customer. Thank you Tim, keep up the good work! Regards, Mario |
