ElevateDB for Lazarus |

Leslie | Tim,
Have you thought of promoting ElevateDB on the official Lazarus site and/or the forums? As you have ported EDB relatively early, you may have a chance to make it popular among Lazarus developers. I think the price tag is attractive. The "official" Lazarus ralease is 0.926 now. Could you please build a trial for this version too? And I have a question: Is IP communication working for WinCE? Can it access EDB servers through the internet. I supposethe answer is yes, just wanted to make sure. Regards, Leslie |

<< Have you thought of promoting ElevateDB on the official Lazarus site and/or the forums? As you have ported EDB relatively early, you may have a chance to make it popular among Lazarus developers. Could you please build a trial for this version too? >> The next 2.03 version will include 0.926 support and, hopefully, Linux support also. << And I have a question: Is IP communication working for WinCE? Can it access EDB servers through the internet. I supposethe answer is yes, just wanted to make sure. >> Yes, it should be working just fine. Of course, if you have any trouble with it, just let me know. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< I have written a post for the DataBase section of the Lazarus forum. In case you want to see it: >> Cool, thanks. The next technical article I will be doing for the web site will be: Building a Native Windows CE Application Using Lazarus and ElevateDB So, some Lazarus users might find it interesting. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Leslie | Tim,
<<The next 2.03 version will include 0.926 support and, hopefully, Linux support also.>> Have not expected Linux so quickly. I thought 0.926 required only a simple rebuild. :O Since they are not depending on each other, any chance of making it at least two smaller steps, like 2.03 with 0.926 support and 2.04 with Linux support? 0.924 is not an option for me, and I am kind of running out of time on setting the deadlines for a project. Really need to see if ElevateDB works out for the WinCE client. << << And I have a question: Is IP communication working for WinCE? Can it access EDB servers through the internet.
