ulibecker | As an exception: No Null <> EmptyString question.
General question: my customers receive software update from me quite often. How about updating EDBSrvr when using remote sessions? Has it to be updated with every release of EDB thus matching the application? Regards Uli |

If I understand your correctly, and I think my answer applies regardless of NULL and emptystring, it will depend of wether or not you have modified the standard server and if the behaviour you want from it has changed between software updates. << General question: my customers receive software update from me quite often. How about updating EDBSrvr when using remote sessions? Has it to be updated with every release of EDB thus matching the application? >> Is that two separate questions, or one question with two parts ? The answer to the second question is no, it doesn't have to be updated to match the client-side unless you are wanting to take advantage of a new feature in a major or minor release that will require the ElevateDB Server to be updated also. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

ulibecker | Tim,
<< Is that two separate questions, or one question with two parts ? >> I just wanted to post something different << The answer to the second question is no, it doesn't have to be updated to match the client-side unless you are wanting to take advantage of a new feature in a major or minor release that will require the ElevateDB Server to be updated also. >> Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted to know.
