But given the type of user, you might find them (me) drumming their fingers and itching to get on with their work. As I can't see the content I don't know if it is stuff that could just as easily go in the About box. I dropped my splash screens once things ran fast enough to tell the user something *was* happening. Malcolm -- |

Also, for the record, there's a 1 second delay for the splash screen, so I don't think that falls into the realm of a significant delay. -- Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

What about putting some wallpaper on the sql windows etc. If its done properly it will look good and not prevent the code from being read. Roy Lambert |

Tim Before this thread I had never noticed a splash screen. Only when I then propped open my eyelids with sharpened cocktail sticks and launched, did I notice a 'flash' screen. A white, borderless rectangle appears momentarily and then vanishes. So, yes, I see it, but, no, I don't see any content. <bg> Malcolm -- |

Raul Team Elevate | It's approx a second here - i had to do Camtasia capture to see it properly and it's shown for approx 16 frames (at 15 fps). Raul |

David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts | Ah! I finally saw it! The white rectangle, that is.
It must've been introduced in build 9--I was using build 8. -- David Cornelius Cornelius Concepts "Malcolm" <malcolm@spam.will.bounce> wrote in message news:A59B825E-8A1D-41E0-B405-D7EF6C936803@news.elevatesoft.com... > Roy Lambert wrote: > >> David >> >> >> My thought exactly. >> >> Roy Lambert > > In my case it has a 'flash' splash screen, flashing only a white > background before being closed.
