SQL Command "COMPRESS FILE <filename> IN <storename>" TO <filename> IN <storename> |

Adam Brett Orixa Systems | EDB has plenty of compression functionality built in, it is used in several parts of the system such as in the creation of Backup Files.
I write procedures to backup my database within EDB, and include routines to copy other critical files (exe, report, utility files) to safe backup-locations (usually remote stores). It would be useful to have a simple command surfaced in EDB to allow compression of these files, as I am often saving multiple copies. ... I may be getting greedy now, but it would also be great to have the following Command: COMPRESS STORE <storename> TO <filename> IN <second-storename> Sorry if this functionality already exists in another form and I have missed it. |

I'll see what I can do about moving this along. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
