Steve Gill | Never mind; I discovered I had to add the My Documents folder to the Search Path under Environment Options/Component Library.

Steve Gill | Well that was painful. I changed the font size of all controls from 20 to 16 and resized the sizes to suit. Took a few hours but it's all done now. The flexibility of the interfaces is amazing. I just wish there was a way to globally change properties.

Chris Holland SEC Solutions Ltd. Team Elevate | Hi Steve,
I emailed Tim about this before and it is something that he is going to look at after the initial release. Chris Holland [Team Elevate] On 14/04/2015 13:07, Steve Gill wrote: > Well that was painful. Tim Young [Elevate Software] Elevate Software, Inc. timyoung@elevatesoft.com | Steve,
<< However, when I changed the default font size to 16 for the TForm interface (Base and Client) it didn't make any different to TLabels I put on the form. So I changed the font size of the TLabel interface to 16 and that still didn't make any difference. >> Fonts are not inherited in EWB 2. None of the UI element properties are inherited, period. I've got a new set of interfaces for EWB 2 almost ready, and they're color-coordinated, so I'll also need the global option for swapping in color schemes. I guess I'll need to change the font sizes again, but at least the global option will make it a lot easier. = Steve |

Trinione | I have only just acquired EWB2 Preview, and from what I have read I know the theme can be changed.
Regarding the original post on this thread, I would like to agree with the statement made. You only have one chance to make a first impression, and the difference as the new demo looked was indeed starkling. I was taken aback actually. (I just checked and the page linked has been updated to a way better look and feel.) BTW, the page that got me to drop everything else and literally wait a year for EWB2 was the following: http://www.elevatesoft.com:8080/masterdetail/masterdetail.html I said, if this product can do that with me writing Pascal code...... YES! I used the EWB1 Trial a bit, however when I heard it was not compatible with EWB2 I didn't delve deeply into it and focused on other projects. Glad this is now out... Just installed a few minutes ago. Excited by the prospects and direction of this product. Mike wrote: When comparing the old look and feel (http://www.elevatesoft.com:8080/datasetclient/datasetclient.html) with new (http://www.elevatesoft.com:8081/formsubmit/formsubmit.html) the last one feels like old fashion. Is this for a reason? I think new customers prefer the old look and feel. Does EWB 2.0 also have similar themes as EWB 1.0? |

(I just checked and the page linked has been updated to a way better look and feel.) >> Yes, there's a new standard interface: http://www.elevatesoft.com:8081/paint/paint.html http://www.elevatesoft.com:8081/slideshow/slideshow.html http://www.elevatesoft.com:8081/databound/databound.html http://www.elevatesoft.com:8081/formsubmit/formsubmit.html There's also a new "rounded" interface included also in the product, and it has a similar modern look, but with rounded corners and "chunkier" text.
