I noticed with the previous version of this demo that there are three rows that are navigable in this table, but if you hit the "next" and "previous" button quickly a fourth row with George Costanza's picture sometimes appears briefly.

George is more shy now in this version, but I still see him.  With some difficulty I was able to focus on his record (see attached). I don't use the dataset functions, but I suppose either George should appear every time, or not at all.

That's a small point I thought you should know about, but EWB2 is really getting pretty exciting.  I can't wait for the release.

The issue here is that the next/prev buttons "auto-repeat" and quite
quickly, so it is actually very easy to skip past records. That is a
testiment to the speed of the code, but also rather painful for real
use, so that will need to be resolved.

I like the new UI though - quite usable as-is.

Hmm, I'm not seeing any issues with this here.  There should be 5 rows in
that dataset.  I may need to dial back the repeater action on the Next/Prior
buttons.  It's currently set to 100ms, so I may need to back it off a bit to
200ms or so.

I wonder if it's an internet latency issue, since I very consistently get only the same three records here in CA, with George appearing sporadically as the fourth, though it normally only displays for a split second.  I have never seen a fifth record.  This is with Chrome and IE.  To be clear, I am not running the example locally, but merely accessing it from the URL you provided.

Did you change the demo app timings already ?

It used to "skip" for me too when you posted the link (few days ago) -
usually George or Bill would not be visible as you navigate back and forth.

However as of today i can't replicate it and see all 5 records as expected.

Same here.  It's looking good now.

Raul,

Yeah, I bumped the repeat delay up to 200ms from 100ms.   The deployment in EWB makes it easy to do little changes like this. Smile

Hmm, still able to skip multiples quite easily here. Once it has them
all cached, it seems to skip freely. Definitely needs the time
increased. I think that the Windows double-click time might be a useful
indicator of the time required - according to an awkward Google, the
default double click time is 500 milliseconds. I think that is a fair
time to wait before it starts repeating, and perhaps can then
auto-repeat faster. But from the one click to the auto-repeat should, I
think, be longer. People aren't as fast as 200ms, and given how fast
the display is, data will be missed.

At the very least, this should be adjustable by developers if it is
fast.

Curious - what are you using (device and browser) ?

Just wondering if this is more related to device/browser or connection
somehow. Considering whole app/page gets downloaded and cached it should
be a device/browser issue IMHO.
