I have just started learning v.3 from scratch and it's a pretty steep learning curve. I didn't use v.2 at all, so any tips on resources that will ease the pain will be greatly appreciated. Step by step simple practical examples will be a great help.

I didn't find any video tutorials for creating server apps, database handling or client apps using external REST API.
Are there such resources?

I've been waiting for these too.  I don't think they were ever done.
