BTW, I really have numerous reasons to stay with old systems. >> My biggest determinant is the crypto support: we just moved everything here to Windows 2016, and it *is* much easier when you don't have to worry about the crypto being current. Windows 7/2008 R2 still have current crypto, but you do need to use something like IISCrypto (or directly modify the registry) to make sure that you've got all of the older, obsolete cipher support turned off: https://www.nartac.com/Products/IISCrypto (Just putting this out there for the lurkers) As for which Windows OS I actually *like* the best, my answer is always "the previous one". ![]() Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |
