<< I would also like if EWB will be able to use Lazarus in the future as an alternative to Delphi. >> This has been a problem for a while, due to the internal architecture of EWB and the source code requirement for Lazarus. I need to cleanly separate out the internal bits of EWB (designer/compiler) that I don't want public, and just haven't had the chance to do so. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

<< I may be wrong, but isn't the server going to run the "Web Builder Script", not the java output? That's what the IDE is doing I think. So this is not a javascript engine running, but a Pascal-derived engine. >> That is correct. It's an Object Pascal engine, not a JS engine. << I think this is going to be very powerful (it already is for the browser), but interacting with the external world will be required I suspect, using DLLs, and certainly the custom modules. >> It will for some very specific things, but the goal is to have *most* of the functionality be in the run-time for the server-side code. This will, of course, expand over time, but initially will cover the areas that I mentioned above. Tim Young Elevate Software www.elevatesoft.com |

Jiri Dvorsky | I think it's possible to distribute close source applications for Lazarus (Lazarus PPUs files only). For example RAUDUS Web-framework is close source for Lazarus.
